As part of the Vietnamese diaspora, as someone who has felt she hasn’t belonged at times in her life, Linda strives to write books for children that explore awareness, empathy, and ultimately, connection. She wants her children, and all children, to read about normalizing diversity and inclusion in deep and meaningful ways with age-appropriate stories.
The Nguyen Kids series is a charming early chapter book series that explores Vietnamese culture and identity through the eyes of the Nguyen siblings, with elements of the supernatural, spirituality, and social justice woven in.
The series is published with Annick Press. Illustrated by Clayton Nguyen.
